Airbus A321neo, operated by Vietnam Airlines as VN-A616. The new-generation narrowbody forms part of the Vietnamese flag carrier's fleet modernization and serves high-capacity domestic and regional international routes. Powered by advanced high-bypass turbofan engines, the A321neo provides significantly lower fuel consumption, reduced emissions, quieter operation, and greater range than the airline's older A321ceo aircraft. Vietnam Airlines deploys aircraft such as VN-A616 between major Vietnamese cities and destinations throughout Asia. The type retains cockpit and maintenance commonality with the carrier's established Airbus narrowbody fleet while providing improved economics and passenger comfort, making it particularly valuable on heavily traveled short and medium-haul routes.
