Airbus A321-231, operated by Vietnam Airlines as VN-A608. The stretched Airbus narrowbody became a backbone of the carrier's domestic and regional network, serving high-demand routes between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and international destinations across Asia. Powered by two International Aero Engines V2500 turbofans, the A321 provides greater passenger capacity than the A320 while retaining extensive cockpit and maintenance commonality. Vietnam Airlines built one of the region's largest A321 fleets, using the type intensively on short and medium-haul services. Aircraft such as VN-A608 have progressively been complemented by newer A321neo aircraft offering improved fuel efficiency, range, and lower emissions.
