Boeing 737-75B, operated by Hapag-Lloyd Express as D-AGEP. The aircraft served the German low-cost airline, widely known as HLX, on scheduled routes from German cities to destinations throughout Europe. Powered by two CFM International CFM56-7B engines, the 737-700 offered efficient performance, useful range, and capacity well suited to developing low-fare markets. HLX was launched by the TUI group and became recognizable for its bright yellow 'taxi' branding. The operation was later combined with Hapag-Lloyd Flug activities under the TUIfly name. D-AGEP represents the early European low-cost era when established tourism groups created new airline brands to compete with rapidly expanding budget carriers.
