Boeing 767-3S2F, operated by Federal Express as N144FE. The purpose-built freighter is part of FedEx Express's extensive Boeing 767 fleet, used to move parcels and freight between major sorting hubs and regional markets. Powered by two General Electric CF6-80C2 engines, N144FE combines dependable performance, useful range, and efficient twin-engine economics. The aircraft's large main-deck cargo door and standardized container system support the rapid loading and unloading required by overnight express operations. FedEx has used the 767F to replace older, less efficient freighters while maintaining capacity appropriate for routes that do not require the size of a Boeing 777F or MD-11F.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to fill the niche between the narrow-bodied 707 and wide-bodied 747, the 767 was first flown on September 26th, 1981. Developed in tandem with the narrow-bodied 757 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 767 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes. With more than 1000 aircraft produced, the 767 is the second most prolific wide-bodied airliner after the 747. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
