Boeing 777F, operated by Federal Express as N886FD. The 777 freighter is based on the 777-200LR airframe and is powered by two General Electric GE90-110B1 engines. It combines approximately 100 metric tons of payload capability with exceptional intercontinental range and efficient twin-engine operation. FedEx uses aircraft such as N886FD on high-volume long-haul routes linking major sorting hubs in North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. The 777F allows FedEx to carry heavy express freight over very long distances while using substantially less fuel than older four-engine freighters, making it a key component of the company's modern international cargo fleet.

Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection.
