Boeing 767-3S2F, operated by Federal Express as N104FE. The dedicated freighter is part of FedEx Express's large 767 cargo fleet and supports overnight package services throughout North America and on selected international routes. Powered by two General Electric CF6-80C2 engines, the 767F combines useful payload and range with efficient twin-engine operation. Its large main-deck cargo door and containerized loading system permit rapid turnaround at FedEx sorting hubs. Aircraft such as N104FE have replaced older Airbus A300, A310, and McDonnell Douglas freighters on many routes, giving FedEx improved fuel efficiency, reliability, and fleet commonality within its global express network.

Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to fill the niche between the narrow-bodied 707 and wide-bodied 747, the 767 was first flown on September 26th, 1981. Developed in tandem with the narrow-bodied 757 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 767 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes.
