Boeing 767-300ER, operated by the modern Eastern Airlines as N705KW. The twin-engine widebody supports passenger charter and scheduled international services, particularly between the United States and destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean. Powered by two high-bypass turbofan engines, the 767-300ER combines useful intercontinental range with moderate passenger capacity and efficient twin-engine economics. Eastern's modern incarnation has used secondhand widebody aircraft to serve specialized markets and charter customers rather than recreating the enormous domestic network of the historic carrier. N705KW represents the enduring versatility of the 767, which remains useful decades after the type first entered airline service.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to fill the niche between the narrow-bodied 707 and wide-bodied 747, the 767 was first flown on September 26th, 1981. Developed in tandem with the narrow-bodied 757 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 767 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes. With more than 1000 aircraft produced, the 767 is the second most prolific wide-bodied airliner after the 747. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
