Delta Air Lines began in 1925 as Huff Daland Dusters, the first aerial crop-dusting company. Under C.E. Woolman, it evolved into Delta Air Service in 1928 and launched passenger flights in 1929. After briefly halting service in 1930, it rebranded as Delta Air Lines in 1945. The airline pioneered new aircraft and launched trans-Atlantic service in 1978. Facing financial struggles, Delta filed for bankruptcy in 2005 but rebounded by 2007. It acquired Northwest Airlines in 2008, fully integrating operations by 2010. Today, Delta remains a major global airline with a legacy of innovation and resilience. Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight". Designed as a lengthened-fuselage version of the highly successful A320 design, the A321 was first flown on March 11th, 1993. © Copyright 2003-2025 The Flying Mule, Inc.
