Boeing 767-432ER, operated by Delta Air Lines as N826MH. The stretched 767-400ER was originally ordered by Delta to replace older Lockheed L-1011 TriStars and became a distinctive part of the airline's long-haul fleet. Powered by two General Electric CF6-80C2 engines, N826MH combines intercontinental range with moderate widebody capacity and strong cargo capability. Delta has used the type on transatlantic, South American, Hawaiian, and selected domestic routes. Extensive cabin upgrades, including modern premium seating and entertainment systems, have extended the useful life of the relatively rare 767-400ER as it serves alongside newer Airbus A330 and A350 aircraft.

Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to fill the niche between the narrow-bodied 707 and wide-bodied 747, the 767 was first flown on September 26th, 1981. Developed in tandem with the narrow-bodied 757 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 767 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes.
