Boeing 777-300ERSF, registered N779CK for Kalitta Air's future freighter operation. Known as the 'Big Twin,' the 777-300ERSF is created by converting passenger 777-300ER aircraft with a large main-deck cargo door, reinforced floor, and dedicated freight-handling systems. Powered by two General Electric GE90-115B engines, the type combines enormous cargo volume with efficient twin-engine long-range performance. Kalitta Air selected the converted 777 as part of its fleet modernization beyond older Boeing 747 freighters. N779CK represents a new generation of high-capacity cargo aircraft designed to carry large freight volumes while significantly reducing fuel consumption compared with four-engine freighters.

Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection.
