Boeing 777F, operated by China Airlines Cargo as B-18771. The dedicated freighter is based on the 777-200LR airframe and is powered by two General Electric GE90-110B1 engines. It combines approximately 100 metric tons of payload capability with exceptional intercontinental range and efficient twin-engine operation. China Airlines introduced the 777F to modernize its cargo fleet and supplement its Boeing 747-400 freighters. B-18771 carries electronics, semiconductors, machinery, pharmaceuticals, perishables, and express freight from Taiwan to major markets across Asia, North America, and Europe. The type is increasingly important to the carrier's high-volume global freight network.

Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection.
