Airbus A220-300, operated by airBaltic as YL-CSL. The Latvian carrier became the launch operator of the larger A220-300 and subsequently standardized its entire fleet around the type. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW1500G geared turbofan engines, YL-CSL offers excellent fuel efficiency, low noise, long range, and a comfortable five-abreast cabin. airBaltic uses its A220s from Riga and other Baltic bases on routes throughout Europe, Scandinavia, the Middle East, and nearby regions. The type's combination of regional-jet economics and mainline comfort has supported the airline's growth while simplifying training, maintenance, and fleet planning through single-type operation.
