Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, serial number 38613, operated by British Airways as G-ZBJG. The aircraft joined BA's new-generation long-haul fleet as the airline began replacing older Boeing 767 and 747 aircraft. Powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines, G-ZBJG combines excellent fuel efficiency and intercontinental range with the Dreamliner's large windows, lower cabin altitude, and quieter interior. British Airways uses its 787-8s from London Heathrow to destinations throughout North America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The aircraft forms part of BA's broader 787 family alongside the larger 787-9 and 787-10.
