Boeing 757-200 freighter, operated by Amerijet International as N818NH. Converted from passenger service, the aircraft carries express freight and general cargo throughout the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, and the United States from Amerijet's Miami hub. Powered by two Rolls-Royce RB211 engines, the 757 combines excellent runway performance, useful payload, and medium-range capability. Its large main-deck cargo door and containerized loading system make it well suited to time-sensitive freight operations. Amerijet uses the type alongside larger Boeing 767 freighters, giving the carrier flexible capacity for routes where a widebody would be unnecessarily large.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
Designed as a narrow-bodied, twin-engined airliner to replace the 727, the 757 was first flown on February 19th, 1982. Developed in tandem with the wide-bodied 767 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 757 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes. A total of 1050 aircraft were built before production ceased in 2004, however many airframes have since been retrofitted with drag-reducing blended winglets to help improve fuel economy. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
