Boeing 777-223ER, construction number 29268, was delivered to American Airlines as N788AN in 2001 as part of the airline's long haul fleet expansion. The aircraft operated intercontinental routes from hubs such as Dallas Fort Worth and Miami, serving destinations in Europe, Asia, and South America. N788AN featured a three class cabin layout with Flagship First, Business, and Economy seating, along with updated inflight entertainment systems. Powered by Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines, the 777-200ER offered extended range, high capacity, and reliable performance. N788AN became a mainstay of American Airlines' long haul operations before its eventual retirement and replacement by newer 777 and 787 aircraft.

Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".

Boeing 777-200ER

Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection. Standard varients have a range of 4,200 nautical miles while Extended Range (ER) variants can fly for 6,600 nautical miles and the Longer Range (LR) variant is the world's longest range airliner capable of flying 7,800 nautical miles.
