Boeing 737-8 MAX, construction number 44454, was delivered to American Airlines as N326RP in 2021 as part of the airline's narrowbody fleet modernization program. The aircraft operates short and medium haul routes across North America, the Caribbean, and Central America from major hubs such as Dallas Fort Worth, Miami, and Charlotte. N326RP features American's modern single aisle cabin with first class, Main Cabin Extra, and economy seating, along with updated inflight entertainment and connectivity. Powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines, the 737 MAX 8 offers improved fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and lower operating costs compared with earlier 737 generations.

The Boeing 737 MAX is an American narrow-body aircraft series being developed by Boeing Commercial Airplanes as the fourth generation of the Boeing 737, succeeding the Boeing 737 Next Generation. The 737 MAX is based on earlier 737 designs but re-engined with more efficient CFM International LEAP-1B along with aerodynamic improvements, most notably split-tip winglets, and airframe modifications.
