Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, operated by American Airlines as N808AN. The aircraft forms part of American's modern long-haul fleet and replaced older, less efficient widebodies on international services. Powered by two General Electric GEnx engines, the 787-8 combines excellent fuel efficiency and intercontinental range with a composite airframe, large electronically dimmable windows, lower cabin altitude, and quieter interior. American deploys aircraft such as N808AN from major hubs to destinations throughout Europe, Asia, and the Americas. The smaller Dreamliner variant is particularly useful on long routes where the range of a widebody is required without the capacity of a larger 777.
