Embraer ERJ-145LR, operated by Contour Airlines as N12552. The 50-seat regional jet is used on scheduled Essential Air Service routes and charter operations linking smaller U.S. communities with larger airports. Powered by two Rolls-Royce AE 3007 engines, the ERJ-145 combines jet speed with relatively low trip costs and the ability to serve airports where larger aircraft would be uneconomical. Contour commonly operates the type with reduced seating to provide additional passenger space. N12552 represents the durable regional jet generation that has continued finding useful roles with smaller carriers even as many large U.S. airlines retire 50-seat jets.
Designed as a short-range, small-capacity regional airliner, the Embraer ERJ 145 was first flown on August 11th, 1995. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
