Boeing 777-31HER, operated by Emirates as A6-EGE. The aircraft joined Emirates' enormous 777-300ER fleet for long-haul services from Dubai to destinations across six continents. Powered by two General Electric GE90-115B engines, A6-EGE combines exceptional range with substantial passenger and cargo capacity. Emirates became the world's largest operator of the 777 family and uses the 777-300ER as a backbone of its global network. Aircraft such as A6-EGE operate everything from medium-distance regional routes to ultra-long-haul intercontinental services, complementing the airline's Airbus A380 fleet and providing access to airports unable to accommodate the larger superjumbo.
Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection. Standard varients have a range of 4,200 nautical miles while Extended Range (ER) variants can fly for 6,600 nautical miles and the Longer Range (LR) variant is the world's longest range airliner capable of flying 7,800 nautical miles. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
Gemini's 1:200 scale Boeing 777 is a large model in this scale and is constructed almost entirely of solid diecast metal. The wide-body fuselage features a solid all around seamless construction with pad-printed windows and doors, fine photo-etched antennas and glimmering jewel-cut anti-collision lenses on top and bottom. The model is supported on an all metal fixed landing gear with a steerable nose wheel, separately applied landing light lenses and pivoting main gear bogies. The solid metal wings feature accurately replicated flap track fairings and free spinning highly detailed fan blades inside each engine nacelles.
