Boeing 777F, serial number 66893, operated by Atlas Air as N703GT. The dedicated freighter joined Atlas Air's expanding 777 cargo fleet as the company diversified beyond its traditional Boeing 747 operations. Powered by two General Electric GE90-110B1 engines, N703GT combines roughly 100 metric tons of payload capability with excellent intercontinental range and efficient twin-engine economics. The aircraft can carry express freight, e-commerce shipments, machinery, perishables, and other high-value cargo on long-distance routes. The 777F complements Atlas Air's 747 freighters by offering lower fuel consumption and operating costs on missions that do not require the 747's outsized cargo capability.
Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection. Standard varients have a range of 4,200 nautical miles while Extended Range (ER) variants can fly for 6,600 nautical miles and the Longer Range (LR) variant is the world's longest range airliner capable of flying 7,800 nautical miles. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
Gemini's 1:200 scale Boeing 777 is a large model in this scale and is constructed almost entirely of solid diecast metal. The wide-body fuselage features a solid all around seamless construction with pad-printed windows and doors, fine photo-etched antennas and glimmering jewel-cut anti-collision lenses on top and bottom. The model is supported on an all metal fixed landing gear with a steerable nose wheel, separately applied landing light lenses and pivoting main gear bogies. The solid metal wings feature accurately replicated flap track fairings and free spinning highly detailed fan blades inside each engine nacelles.
