Armee de l'Air et de l'Espace Airbus A330 MRTT Phenix F-UJCH, fleet number 042 and construction number 1808, was delivered to France on July 2, 2019. Assigned to ERVTS 1/31, the aircraft provides aerial refueling, strategic transport, medical evacuation, and long range deployment support. The Phenix can refuel fighters using underwing hose and drogue pods while also carrying passengers and cargo over intercontinental distances. F-UJCH replaced older C-135 tankers and transport aircraft, providing substantially improved fuel capacity, range, efficiency, and flexibility for French and allied air operations around the world.
