Embraer E190, serial number 19000432, operated by China Southern Airlines as B-3148. The aircraft joined China Southern's regional jet fleet for domestic services within China, providing an efficient bridge between smaller regional aircraft and larger Boeing 737 or Airbus A320-family jets. Powered by two General Electric CF34-10E engines, B-3148 offered a comfortable four-abreast cabin, useful range, and good operating economics. China Southern used the E190 on routes linking secondary cities with major hubs and regional centers. The type supported the airline's enormous domestic network while offering capacity better matched to thinner markets than larger narrowbody aircraft.
