BAC One-Eleven Series 528, construction number 516, was delivered to Braniff International as EI-BWP in 1969 during the airline's rapid expansion of short- and medium-haul services. The aircraft operated primarily on domestic U.S. routes and selected Latin American destinations, offering fast and efficient jet service. EI-BWP carried Braniff's distinctive colorful livery, reflecting the airline's bold marketing and brand identity. Following the introduction of larger and more modern aircraft, the BAC 1-11 fleet was gradually phased out. After Braniff ceased operations in 1982, EI-BWP was sold to secondary operators and eventually retired, marking the end of its operational career.
