Concorde 204 was initially used by the manufacturers, BAC, to complete Certificate of airworthiness items, such as air conditioning system checks and auto landing trails. After completing 141 test flights, it was refurbished for airliner service and delivered to British Airways on the February 13th, 1976. It was registered 'G-BOAC' in honor of British Airways forerunner, the British Overseas Airways Corporation. After logging a total 22,260 hours flight time, including 6,761 supersonic flights, G-BOAC was finally retired from service on October 31st, 2003. Today, this aircraft is displayed in a special glass hangar at Manchester Airport in the UK.
