Fokker 50, serial number 20282, entered service with Avianca Colombia as PH-AVJ. The aircraft was originally delivered to a European operator before later joining Avianca's regional fleet in Colombia. Configured for short haul passenger operations, the Fokker 50 connected secondary cities with major hubs throughout Colombia. Powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada PW125B turboprop engines, the aircraft provided excellent fuel efficiency and strong performance from shorter runways. PH-AVJ contributed to the expansion of reliable regional air service across Colombia's diverse geography.
