Boeing 747-48EF, serial number 29907, operated by Asiana Cargo as HL7616. The purpose-built freighter joined Asiana's cargo fleet for long range services linking South Korea with major freight markets across Asia, Europe, and North America. Powered by four General Electric CF6 engines, the 747-400F combines substantial payload and intercontinental range with a hinged nose cargo door that allows exceptionally large freight to be loaded directly into the main deck. HL7616 has carried electronics, machinery, automotive components, express freight, and other high-value cargo from Seoul Incheon. The 747 remains an iconic and highly capable heavy freighter despite the arrival of newer twin-engine cargo aircraft.
Designed as a large capacity airliner and freight hauler, the 747 was first flown on February 9th, 1969. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
Gemini's 1:200 scale Boeing 747 is an exceptionally large and heavy model in this scale (over two pounds) and is constructed almost entirely of solid diecast metal. The extra wide-body fuselage, with its wonderfully sculpted nose section, features all around seamless construction with pad-printed windows and doors. The model is supported on an all metal fixed landing gear with soft rubber tires and a steerable nose wheel. The solid metal wings are constructed as a single unit, and then carefully fitted to the fuselage. They feature accurately replicated flap track fairings at the rear and free spinning highly detailed fan blades inside each engine nacelles.
