Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, serial number 40647, operated by American Airlines as N835AN. The aircraft forms part of American's expanding long haul Dreamliner fleet and is used on intercontinental services from hubs including Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago, and Philadelphia. Powered by two General Electric GEnx engines, N835AN offers greater range and capacity than the 787-8 while retaining the Dreamliner's advanced composite construction, large windows, lower cabin altitude, and excellent fuel efficiency. American uses the 787-9 on important routes to Europe, Asia, South America, and the Pacific. The type complements the airline's Boeing 777 fleet and supports continued modernization of its international operation.

Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
