Douglas DC-8-62H, serial number 46142, line number 546, operated by AeroPeru as OB-R-1210 and named "Armando Revoredo." Delivered new to Alitalia in 1971 as I-DIWX, the aircraft joined AeroPeru in February 1981 and became one of the airline's principal long-range aircraft, serving routes from Lima to North America, South America and Europe. It was re-registered OB-1210 in 1989. In 1994 it became N61CX and was converted to a freighter, later serving Air Transport International. After four decades of passenger and cargo flying, it was retired at Marana, Arizona in 2011 and scrapped in 2016.
Designed to compete with the Boeing 707, the DC-8 was first flown on May 30th, 1958. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
