The Type 82 Command and Control Vehicle (CCV) serves as a mobile command post in the Japanese Ground Self Defense Force. Approximately 250 vehicles have been produced. The only other official variant in the series is the Type 82 Chemical Reconnaissance Vehicle. However, the Komatsu Type 87 Reconnaissance and Patrol Vehicle shares many of the systems and components with this vehicle.
