Boeing 737-8CT, serial number 37092, line number 3164, delivered new to WestJet on February 5, 2010 as C-GWSZ. Powered by CFM56-7B27 engines, it became fleet number 812 and has spent its career with the Canadian carrier. C-GWSZ has been particularly recognizable for its special liveries, first wearing WestJet's "Care-antee" promotional scheme and then a colorful Walt Disney World Mickey Mouse livery from 2013 until 2024. It continues to operate WestJet's extensive Canadian, transborder, and leisure network, making it one of the airline's more visually distinctive 737-800s. Designed as a smaller, short-ranged alternative to the Boeing 707 and 727, the 737 was first flown on April 9th, 1967. Over its long operational carreer, the 737 has spawned numerous variants ranging in capacity from less than 100 to more than 200 seats. In fact, the 737 series is the best-selling jetliner in aviation history with more than 6,500 aircraft manufactured to date and more than 4,500 still in service with over 500 airlines around the world. Incredibly, there is a 737 taking off or landing somewhere in the world, on average, every five seconds. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
