Boeing 727-235, serial number 19469, line number 568, operated by National Airlines as N4749 and named "Bonnie." Delivered new to National on April 26, 1968, the aircraft became part of the airline's extensive 727 fleet and famously carried the "Fly me, I'm Bonnie" advertising theme. When Pan American acquired National in January 1980, N4749 transferred to Pan Am and was later named "Clipper Quick Step." After roughly 12 years with Pan Am, it joined Braniff International in January 1992. The veteran 727 was withdrawn later that year, stored at Tucson, Arizona, and scrapped in 1993 after approximately 25 years of service.
Designed as a smaller, short/medium-ranged complement to the 707, the 727 was first flown on February 9th, 1963. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
