Boeing 777-281, serial number 27941, operated by All Nippon Airways as JA752A. The aircraft joined ANA's Boeing 777 fleet for high-capacity domestic passenger services within Japan. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines, the 777-200 offered substantial seating capacity, excellent reliability, and efficient twin-engine performance on busy trunk routes from Tokyo to cities such as Sapporo, Fukuoka, and Osaka. ANA became a major operator of the 777 family, using different variants for both domestic and international services. JA752A represented the high-density domestic configuration that helped replace older Boeing 747s on heavily traveled routes throughout Japan. Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection.
