Boeing 767-333ER, serial number 25584, operated by Air Canada Rouge as C-FMLV. The aircraft previously served Air Canada's mainline operation before being transferred to Rouge and configured for high-density leisure services. Powered by two General Electric CF6 turbofan engines, C-FMLV connected Canadian gateways with vacation destinations throughout Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico, and other international markets. The 767-300ER offered the range needed for transatlantic flying while providing economical capacity for price-sensitive leisure routes. Rouge's 767 operation ended as Air Canada restructured its fleet, bringing to a close an important chapter in the Canadian carrier group's long association with Boeing's successful widebody twinjet. Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to fill the niche between the narrow-bodied 707 and wide-bodied 747, the 767 was first flown on September 26th, 1981. Developed in tandem with the narrow-bodied 757 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 767 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes. With more than 1000 aircraft produced, the 767 is the second most prolific wide-bodied airliner after the 747. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
