Boeing 767-33AER, serial number 25274, operated by Air Canada Rouge as C-FJZK. The aircraft joined Air Canada's leisure subsidiary after serving in the mainline fleet and was reconfigured for higher-density vacation services. Powered by two General Electric CF6 engines, C-FJZK operated routes from Canada to destinations in Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico, and other leisure markets. The 767-300ER's combination of long range, substantial capacity, and established reliability made it well suited to Rouge's international network. Air Canada Rouge eventually retired its Boeing 767 fleet as the group simplified operations and shifted toward newer and more efficient aircraft. Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to fill the niche between the narrow-bodied 707 and wide-bodied 747, the 767 was first flown on September 26th, 1981. Developed in tandem with the narrow-bodied 757 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 767 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes. With more than 1000 aircraft produced, the 767 is the second most prolific wide-bodied airliner after the 747. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
