Boeing 767-375ER, serial number 24086, operated by Air Canada as C-GBZR. The aircraft joined Air Canada's widebody fleet for domestic and international services and became part of the carrier's extensive 767 operation. Powered by two General Electric CF6 engines, C-GBZR combined useful intercontinental range with efficient twin-engine performance and substantial cargo capacity. Air Canada deployed its 767-300ERs across the Atlantic, throughout North America, and to leisure destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America. The type served the airline for decades before newer Boeing 787 Dreamliners progressively replaced it, while several former Air Canada 767s later found second careers as freighters or with other operators. Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to fill the niche between the narrow-bodied 707 and wide-bodied 747, the 767 was first flown on September 26th, 1981. Developed in tandem with the narrow-bodied 757 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 767 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes. With more than 1000 aircraft produced, the 767 is the second most prolific wide-bodied airliner after the 747. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
