Airbus A330-343, serial number 419, entered service with Air Canada as C-GHLM. The aircraft joined the airline's long haul fleet in the early 2000s and operates international routes from Toronto and Montreal to destinations across Europe, the Caribbean, and South America. Configured with business class, premium economy, and economy seating, it provides modern passenger amenities and inflight entertainment. Powered by Rolls Royce Trent 700 engines, the A330-300 offers strong range, reliability, and fuel efficiency. C-GHLM continues to support Air Canada's international network while maintaining dependable widebody service across a variety of long distance routes.
Designed as a wide-bodied, long-haul passenger transport to compete with the Boeing 767, the A330 was first flown on November 2nd, 1992. It was designed as a lengthened version of the A300 and was developed in parallel with the larger, four-engined A340, enabling many of the components to be shared between the three types. The A330 also uses the same fly-by-wire technology that was introduced with the A320, featuring a glass cockpit and side-stick controllers. The A330 has the same range and payload capacity as a DC-10 with 25% greater fuel efficiency. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
