Airbus A321-211, serial number 1632, operated by Air Canada as C-GITY. The aircraft joined Air Canada's narrowbody fleet for high-capacity domestic, transborder, and leisure services. Powered by two CFM International CFM56 engines, C-GITY provides greater passenger capacity than the A319 and A320 while retaining cockpit and maintenance commonality across the Airbus family. Air Canada has used its A321s on busy routes throughout Canada and to destinations in the United States, Caribbean, and Mexico. The aircraft has remained useful even as newer A220s, Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, and Airbus A321XLRs progressively modernize the carrier's narrowbody fleet.
Designed as a lengthened-fuselage version of the highly successful A320 design, the A321 was first flown on March 11th, 1993. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
