Airbus A319-114, serial number 1035, entered service with Northwest Airlines as N301NB. The aircraft joined Northwest's modern Airbus narrowbody fleet for domestic services throughout the United States and routes to Canada and Mexico. Powered by two CFM International CFM56 engines, N301NB offered efficient short and medium haul performance while sharing cockpit and maintenance commonality with Northwest's larger A320s. Following the merger of Northwest and Delta Air Lines, the aircraft transferred into Delta's fleet and continued operating an extensive domestic network. The A319's relatively small capacity and useful range made it especially versatile for routes where larger narrowbody aircraft were unnecessary.
Designed as a shortened-fuselage version of the highly successful A320 design, the A319 was first flown on August 25th, 1995. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
