Boeing 777-3DZER, serial number 60330, entered service with Qatar Airways as A7-BED. Delivered in October 2014, the aircraft joined Qatar Airways' long haul fleet and operates intercontinental routes from Doha to destinations across Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. Powered by two General Electric GE90-115B engines, the 777-300ER combines exceptional range, payload capability, and reliability. A7-BED has also worn several promotional markings and received a special UEFA Champions League livery in 2025, reflecting Qatar Airways' prominent international sports sponsorships while continuing regular passenger service across the carrier's worldwide network.
Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection.
