Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, serial number 66831, entered service with Lufthansa as D-ABPU. Delivered to Lufthansa in December 2025 and entering commercial service on January 20, 2026, the aircraft was named "Berlin" and received a striking special livery celebrating Lufthansa's 100th anniversary. The blue fuselage features an oversized white crane emblem, commemorating the airline's centenary in 2026. Powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines, D-ABPU operates long haul services from Frankfurt to destinations including Los Angeles and Hong Kong. The aircraft also operated special anniversary flight LH1926 from Berlin to Zurich on April 6, 2026.
