Airbus A380-841, serial number 263, entered service with All Nippon Airways as JA382A in 2019. Named 'Kai,' the aircraft wears an emerald green Hawaiian sea turtle 'Flying Honu' livery inspired by the clear waters surrounding Hawaii. Powered by four Rolls-Royce Trent 970 engines, JA382A was configured specifically for ANA's high-volume Tokyo-Honolulu market with First, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins. The aircraft joined blue JA381A as the second member of ANA's three-aircraft A380 fleet. Its enormous capacity allows ANA to concentrate substantial leisure traffic on individual flights while the colorful turtle scheme has made the aircraft a popular symbol of the airline's Hawaii services.
Designed as the world's largest airliner, the double-decker A380 was first flown on April 27th, 2005. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
