Airbus A380-841, serial number 262, entered service with All Nippon Airways as JA381A in 2019. Named 'Lani' and painted in a blue Hawaiian sea turtle 'Flying Honu' livery, the aircraft was acquired specifically for ANA's high-demand Tokyo-Honolulu services. Powered by four Rolls-Royce Trent 970 engines, JA381A features four passenger classes and provides enormous capacity for the popular leisure route. ANA became the final new customer to introduce the A380 into service. The distinctive Flying Honu fleet transformed the airline's Hawaii operation and made JA381A one of the most recognizable aircraft in Japan, combining superjumbo capacity with a unique resort-themed identity.
Designed as the world's largest airliner, the double-decker A380 was first flown on April 27th, 2005. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
