RNLAF Airbus A330 MRTT T-055, construction number 1911, was the first aircraft delivered to NATO's Multinational Multi Role Tanker Transport Fleet. It arrived at Eindhoven Air Base on June 30, 2020, following conversion at Getafe, Spain. Operated by the Multinational MRTT Unit under Dutch registration, T-055 supports participating NATO nations with aerial refueling, strategic passenger and cargo transport, and aeromedical evacuation. The A330 MRTT combines substantial fuel capacity with long range and a large transport cabin. T-055 helped establish a shared European tanker capability while reducing dependence on national tanker fleets.
