Republic of Korea Air Force KC-330 Cygnus 19-004, construction number 1891, is the fourth and final Airbus A330 MRTT acquired by South Korea, entering service in November 2019. Assigned to the 261st Air Tanker Squadron, the KC-330 provides aerial refueling, strategic transport, and long range passenger and cargo capabilities. Aircraft 19-004 is particularly distinctive because it has been photographed carrying underwing hose and drogue refueling pods, unlike the other three Korean KC-330s. The Cygnus significantly extends the endurance and operational reach of South Korean fighters while also supporting overseas deployments and humanitarian missions.
Designed as a aerial refuelling tanker version of the A330 airliner, the A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) was first flown on June 15th, 2007. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
