RAF Voyager K.Mk 2 ZZ330, construction number 1046, was the first Airbus A330 MRTT to enter Royal Air Force service. Originally built as an A330-243, it first flew on August 19, 2009 before conversion to tanker transport configuration. ZZ330 entered RAF service in April 2012. Based at RAF Brize Norton, the Voyager combines strategic passenger and cargo transport with aerial refueling capability. The K.Mk 2 carries two underwing hose and drogue refueling pods, enabling it to support Typhoons, F-35Bs, and other compatible aircraft. ZZ330 remains an important component of Britain's worldwide air mobility capability.
Designed as a aerial refuelling tanker version of the A330 airliner, the A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) was first flown on June 15th, 2007. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
