Airbus A340-313X, entered service with China Airlines as B-18806. Delivered in October 2001, the aircraft joined China Airlines' long haul fleet and operated international services from Taipei to destinations throughout Europe, Australia, and Asia. Configured with 30 business class and 246 economy seats, the four-engine A340 provided excellent range for long distance routes. Powered by four CFM International CFM56-5C engines, B-18806 also carried China Airlines' 50th Anniversary markings. It was withdrawn from service in May 2017, stored at Victorville, California, and eventually broken up there in July 2020.
