Boeing 777-36NER, entered service with China Airlines as B-18055. The aircraft joined China Airlines' flagship long haul fleet and operates intercontinental services from Taipei to destinations across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Configured with Premium Business, Premium Economy, and Economy seating, the 777-300ER combines substantial passenger capacity with excellent long range capability. Powered by two General Electric GE90-115B turbofan engines, B-18055 provides reliable and efficient service on demanding international routes. The aircraft is especially distinctive in 2026 for wearing China Airlines' colorful "Zootopia 2" special livery.
Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection.
