Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, serial number 34810, entered service with Korean Air as HL8081. Delivered in February 2017, the aircraft was Korean Air's first Boeing 787-9 and helped introduce the Dreamliner family to the carrier's fleet. Powered by two General Electric GEnx-1B engines, HL8081 operates international services from Seoul Incheon to destinations throughout Asia and the Pacific. The aircraft combines long range capability and excellent fuel efficiency with the Dreamliner's larger windows, improved cabin pressure, and quieter interior. HL8081 also carried special "50 Years" markings during Korean Air's 50th anniversary celebrations in 2019.
Designed as a mid-sized, wide-body airliner and constructed out of mostly composite material, the 787 was first flown on December 15th, 2009. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
