Airbus A380-841, serial number 120, entered service with China Southern Airlines as B-6139 before later joining Global Airlines as 9H-GLOBL. Acquired by the British startup carrier as part of its plans to launch transatlantic widebody services, the aircraft was transferred to the Maltese register as 9H-GLOBL. Powered by four Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines, the double-deck A380 provides exceptional passenger capacity and long range capability. 9H-GLOBL became Global Airlines' first A380 and a highly visible centerpiece of the company's plans to establish premium passenger services between the United Kingdom and North America.
