Airbus A340-313X, serial number 433, entered service with Mandarin Airlines as B-18851. The aircraft joined the Taiwanese carrier's long haul fleet during the early 2000s and was used on international services from Taipei. Powered by four CFM International CFM56-5C engines, the A340-300 offered intercontinental range and a spacious widebody cabin. Mandarin's A340 operation was relatively short-lived as its long haul flying was increasingly consolidated with parent company China Airlines. B-18851 subsequently transferred to China Airlines, where it continued operating international routes as part of the carrier's A340 fleet before the type was eventually retired.
Designed as a wide-bodied, long-haul passenger transport, the A340 was first flown on October 25th, 1991. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
